Dr. Anthony Fauci’s upcoming book is off the table at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The backlash from Americans who believe he is wrongly profiting from the coronavirus pandemic caused the book to be scrubbed from the two companies’ websites.
The book is called “Expect the Unexpected” and was scrubbed as of Wednesday morning.
The book’s listing has been entirely scrubbed from Amazon (screenshot from Amazon below):
However, a cached version (see below) of the listing still displayed the book’s promotional description and preorder status:
A cached website also shows the book’s listing on Barnes & Noble’s website, though by Wednesday morning, that listing was no longer live. The book appeared to be still available for preorder on some lesser-known vendors such as Booktopia.
Critics of Dr. Fauci compared him to New York Governor Cuomo signing a seven-figure book deal about his efforts during the pandemic:
“If you look at the numbers again, you had Cuomo profiting off a pandemic, a government official. Now we have Fauci doing it as well. I think this is appalling.” – Joe Concha, media reporter for The Hill.
After emails about how Dr. Fauci mishandled and tried to cover up the coronavirus are exposed, it’s more and more likely that big companies like Amazon won’t release his book:
TREASURE TROVE OF EMAILS FROM DR. FAUCI RELEASED:
A treasure trove of emails from Dr. Fauci has been released. Many of the emails appear to suggest that Dr. Fauci may have known more about the origin of COVID-19 than he disclosed. One email, in particular, is raising a few eyebrows…
On February 21, 2020, Dr. Fauci received an email from Michael Jacobs, a Weill Cornell Medical College Associate Professor of Dermatology.
In his letter, Jacobs, who explained that he got Dr. Fauci’s email address from Mr. Michael Lockshin, wrote: “We have been following the coronavirus pandemic closely,” he wrote. “We think that there is a possibility that the virus was released from a lab in Wuhan, the biotech area of China.”
The Weil Cornell Medical College student added, “We also think the virus might be complexed with another organism, such as yeast or fungus to make it more sticky.”
He requested a meeting with Dr. Fauci to discuss their findings, saying, “We feel that United States scientists must take immediate action to try to neutralize this threat.”
Here’s the tweet by Buzz Feed’s senior investigative reporter who disclosed the email:

Instead of responding to Michael Jacob’s email directly, Dr. Fauci forwarded the email to NIH Deputy Director of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Dr. Cristina Cassetti and told her to “please handle.”
