Even though Joe Biden and leftist Democrats tried to derail their efforts, President Trump’s 1776 Commission plans to reconvene next week at Hillsdale College. The #1 item on their agenda will be exposing the dangers of the Marxist Critical Race Theory.
Joe Biden wasted no time disbanding Trump’s 1776 Commission on his first day in the White House. Not so fast! Trump’s commission plans to meet again to target the teaching of U.S. history based on the Marxist critical race theory.
Last November, in response to the NYT 1619 Project that claims America is a racist nation, the Trump administration established an advisory group to “celebrate and promote the principles enshrined in the nation’s founding documents.”
The commission recently regained attention when a leading member spoke against funding education programs that promote the 1619 Project and critical race theory.
Matthew Spalding, the executive director of the 1776 Commission, wrote in a letter to the Education Department:
“The Proposed Rule should be withdrawn, just as individual states, which actually have the authority over the nation’s K-12 educational system, should oppose race-based pedagogy as part of their curricula and even if attempted to be imposed by the federal government. On behalf of my fellow Commissioners, I submit and draw your attention to Appendix III of The 1776 Report. The appendix explains why race-focused narratives like the 1619 Project and critical race theory are ‘fundamentally incompatible with the principles of the Declaration of Independence, which connects liberty-loving Americans everywhere regardless of their race.”
Pushing back on teaching children to hate America is picking up steam as parents across the nation realize this Marxist theory is being taught to their children. Several cases were in the national news because the parents removed their children and then spoke out on Fox News to explain their concerns.
