Imagine being so desperate to connect with your radical base that you blame a winter storm on “climate change.”
That’s exactly what President Joe Biden’s administration is pointing toward, in their latest comments on the freak winter storm that plagued the state of Texas this past week.
I mean, I’m sure there have never been ANY wicked winter storms to hit Texas in the history book of Earth. So, it must be CLIMATE CHANGE, OH MY GOSH!
Reuters has the story:
The White House on Thursday said a severe winter storm engulfing Texas and other states was the type of extreme weather event that climate change is triggering and proof that “we’re not adequately prepared for it.”

White House homeland security adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall said 1 million or more people are still experiencing power outages as a result of the storm that has engulfed Texas and other areas of the United States.
Sherwood-Randall, speaking to reporters in a phone briefing, promoted Democratic President Joe Biden’s climate change agenda in addressing the storm, putting pressure on Republican leaders who have repeatedly denounced the Democrats’ proposed “green new deal” as a job killer.
She said the storm was an extreme weather event.
“We’re not adequately prepared for it,” she said.
Sherwood-Randall said the storm, which has left millions of people in freezing temperatures without heat, adequate water pressure and other related problems, has exposed weaknesses in American infrastructure.
“Power grids across our country, particularly in Texas, are overloaded by the demands that are placed on them under these conditions, and the infrastructure is not built to withstand these extreme conditions,” she said.
Biden would lead an effort to “strengthen and harden our critical infrastructure so that it can be prepared to meet a full spectrum of challenges that we’re likely to face,” Sherwood-Randall added.
This is exactly why half of the country refuses to take Democrats seriously when they blame common and even uncommon weather-related events on so-called climate change. We have, what, 100 years worth of accurate weather records, at best? And how long has Earth been in existence?
Sure, the Texas winter storm was a doozy, no doubt about it. But crying “climate change!” at every turn, without any solid evidence to make such a silly case is nothing more than a political talking point and stunt to hype up the progressive left. It allows them to further cement their grand vision of “green energy,” which they truly believe will fix all of our problems.
It’s a shame that the White House is seemingly misleading the American public based off of a single winter storm event (which happens in Texas once every 10 years or so.)
