On his Monday night show, Fox News host Tucker Carlson said that the National Security Agency (NSA) is spying on him and reading confidential texts and emails to try and take his show off the air.
“The war on terror, now ongoing for 20 years, has pivoted in its aims. The war on terror is now being waged against American citizens, opponents of the regime.”

Two hours ago, in a tweet, the NSA responded to Tucker Carlson’s accusation.
On June 28, 2021, Tucker Carlson alleged that the National Security Agency has been “monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air. This allegation is untrue,” the NSA stated.
They continued, “Tucker Carlson has never been an intelligence target of the Agency, and the NSA has never had any plans to try to take his program off the air.”
The NSA explained that they are a “foreign intelligence mission,” adding that they target foreign powers to generate insights on foreign activities that could harm the U.S.”
Finally, the NSA wrote: “NSA may not target a US citizen without a court order that explicitly authorizes the targeting.”
Do the FISA courts ring a bell, anyone?
